Beautiful bracelet that constitutes one of the best examples of patriotic “jewellery” produced in Germany during the first years of war 1914-1916.
In this case the bracelet has been made of chromed metal with an ingenious system to allow it to adapt to the different measurements of the wrist. The steel meshes contain a small spring which extends thus increasing the circumference of the cuff.
The central part consists of a stylized Iron Cross enamed with black background, white and gold in the outline and the date “1914/15”.
A beautiful and very rare example of “poor” patriotic jewellery in use at the beginning of the conflict that the Germans hoped victorious.
